Corporate Law Teachers Association Logo Design Competition

The Corporate Law Teachers Association [CLTA] was formed in 1994 and represents corporate law scholars in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region. At its Annual General Meeting in February 2008 the CLTA decided to adopt a logo to serve as the symbol of the organisation. To that end it is launching a competition that is open to anybody (excluding members of the CLTA Executive Committee who will be the Judges of the Competition) for the creation of such a logo. We request all our members to also forward this invitation to the Art and Design Faculties / Schools at your University as it may be an attractive competition for the students of such Faculties / Schools. The full terms and conditions of entry are on the entry form, which must be signed and accompany each entry.

Prizes will be awarded for the best three designs, although the CLTA Executive reserves the right not to award a prize if the standard of the submissions is not acceptable in the excusive discretion of the CLTA Executive.

Professor Jean du Plessis (National President of the CLTA)
(On behalf of the CLTA Executive)

Prizes: First prize winner will receive $1,000 (AUS), second and third $500 each.
Design:

The submitted designs should reflect the goals of the CLTA. The primary goal is advancing corporate law teaching, research and scholarship. This also includes promoting:

• cooperation and exchange of ideas between corporate law scholars in the region
• active cooperation between corporate law teachers and universities
• cooperation with professional legal associations and law reform agencies
• and hosting an annual conference to highlight current developments in corporate law scholarship

You should also submit a written rationale explaining how the concepts behind your design address these goals.

Use of logo: The logo will be used on our Webpage; on our official letter head and on plaques or medallions that are awarded to life-members or people who performed exceptional service to the CLTA. It is, therefore, important that the logo design should not be too colourful or too complex for duplication, copying or reproduction.
